One woman and nine men were arrested at the same Victoria apartment complex between 3 a.m. and 1 p.m. Sunday.
Victoria police officers responded six times throughout the day to an apartment complex in the 1800 block of Melrose Drive for fighting incidents and possession of illegal drugs, Victoria police said.
Police first responded to the apartments at 2:16 a.m., then again at 2:33 a.m., 2:55 a.m., 4:43 a.m., 9:02 a.m. and 12:55 p.m., Victoria police Sgt. Robert Rogers said.
"It's not uncommon for us to be over there, but it was unusual to have that much activity in such a concentrated area," Rogers said.
Several residents of the apartments in the same complex were drinking and starting fights among one another.
No arrests were made on the first two visits to complex, but three men were arrested on the 2:55 a.m. call on suspicion of interference, possession of a prohibitive weapon and possessing an illegal firearm. Three more men were arrested on the 4:43 a.m. call on suspicion of marijuana possession and public intoxication.
When police responded at 9:02 a.m., they arrested Billy Richardson, 20, on suspicion of possessing about one pound of marijuana and other illegal drugs, including ecstasy pills.
Rogers said police responded to the apartments at 12:55 p.m. with a search warrant for a specific apartment in the complex and arrested Jami Burdette, 23; Rianna Soliz, 20, and John Lopez, 20, on suspicion of marijuana possession.
