Two storage units were burglarized sometime between nightfall Tuesday and sunrise Wednesday at West High School on Tropical Drive.

The burglary was discovered Wednesday morning by a maintenance worker who noticed a hole in the side of the storage unit and went in to find lawn equipment missing.

The burglars cut a rectangular hole approximately 1 foot by 1 foot-and-a-half in the wall of the metal units, according to investigating police officer Ryan Salles.

The burglars opened doors of the storage buildings from inside and stole two John Deer Gaiters, two weed eaters, two leaf blowers, two push mowers and an edger.

An investigation is ongoing.
