Manuel Ibarra, of Telferner, was arrested Saturday and accused of assaulting three people and barricading himself in a room at his home.

Victoria Sheriff's Office Chief Deputy Terry Simons said law enforcement responded to a disturbance call at 538 Minatre Lane at 6:15 a.m., where they discovered a suspect barricaded in a room and refusing to come out.

Victoria SWAT team arrived on scene at 8:30 a.m. and were able to breach Ibarra's room door about an hour later.

Before sheriff's deputies were called, Ibarra allegedly assaulted his girlfriend and two male visitors at the home, who had been up all night socializing. The injured parties, whose names were unavailable Sunday, suffered wounds on their arms and necks, Simons said.

They were treated on location and released.

Ibarra, whose age was unavailable, was taken into custody, where he remains at the Victoria County Jail.
