If you are looking for fun summertime activities, the Victoria Parks and Recreation Department has something for the entire family.
The best way to beat the heat this summer is to make your way over to the Gary T. Moses Municipal Pool, 105 N. Ben Wilson St.
The pool is a popular community attraction with more than 300 customers utilizing the pool each day. Now that is a lot of splishin' and splashin'!
The entry fee to the pool is $1.50 per person for the entire day or swimmers can take advantage of our season pass for $30 per person.
Feel free to bring a small hand-held cooler with snacks and drinks or take advantage of our snow cones and on-site vending machines, which provide the perfect cure for those mid-day munchies. All coolers are inspected to make sure no glass containers are brought into the pool area. The pool is open from 1 to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday
Be sure to mark your calendar for Victoria's Fourth of July celebration at the Victoria Mall. The city of Victoria has teamed up with Hartman Distributing and the Victoria Mall to offer an exciting fireworks show and concert. The event will get under way at 6 p.m. on the north side of J.C. Penney with a great lineup taking the stage including Charla Corn along with Stewart Mann and the Statesboro Review.
The fireworks show, provided by Zambelli's International, will begin promptly at 9:30 p.m.
Rhythm of the Road will round out the evening with a performance immediately following the fireworks until 10:30 p.m. What a great way to jam out to a local favorite while allowing the traffic to die down.
Food and beverage vendors will be available throughout the evening located near the stage area. You and your family are not going to want to miss this spectacular event!
