20 under 40: Ray Bazan
June 25, 2011 at 1:25 a.m.
Family: Wife, Marie S. Bazan; two sons, Ryan, 9, and Marcus, 7
Occupation: President of La Original Tortilla Co., Inc.
Why he was nominated: Ray Bazan starts each day at 3 a.m. and joins his crew at La Original Tortilla Company. Often in the same uniform as his employees in the production area, Bazan works hand-in-hand with every member of his team. Bazan carries that energy home, too, helping coach his son's baseball team before finally catching a few hours of sleep. Then, he does it all over again.
What does success mean to you? Success is always finishing something you have started, never give up no matter the odds. Nothing in life comes easy; hard work and determination define you as a person.
Success is my family and always making time for my children, without them, success is meaningless.
Success comes with maturity and time.
A quote I live by: "The only place where success comes before work is in the dictionary," Vidal Sassoon.
