A Victoria County man was arrested Tuesday in connection with a methamphetamine sales ring in DeWitt County.

Lawrence Matejek, 47, was arrested at his home in rural Victoria County on a DeWitt County warrant for manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance, according to a news release from the DeWitt County Sheriff's Office.

"We were given some information that he might be at his home on Sun Valley Drive. Our deputies checked, and he was arrested without incident," said DeWitt County Sheriff Jode Zavesky.

Matejek is being held in the DeWitt County Detention Center on a $40,000 bail. He was also charged with a parole violation.

Matejek is the sixth person, including a mother and her two children, arrested in DeWitt County for manufacturing and selling meth.

Diane Musachia, 52, Desiree Musachia, 21, Drew Musachia, 19, Lile Hamilton, 32, and Tony Sinast, 52, were arrested Feb. 24 at the Musachia home on Farm-to-Market Road 236 in DeWitt County.

Deputies found about 32 grams of methamphetamine packaged for sale in 1 gram packages and the ingredients and equipment to manufacture meth, according to a news release.

The two younger Musachias continue to be held on $50,000 bail each.
