Two Crossroads-area teams earned trips to the state tournament on Saturday, one for the second straight year and the other in a thrilling triple-overtime affair.
Hallettsville (30-4) is making its second trip to the state tournament in as many years, and hopes to reach the final after falling to Ponder in the state semifinals last year.
The Brahmas beat Santa Rosa and San Antonio Cole in the Region IV-2A tournament.
Waelder (31-7) played an exhausting triple OT game with Kopperl, eventually prevailing 62-54.
Hallettsville will play Idalou in the state semifinals at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, while Waelder plays at 2 p.m. on Friday against Paducah.
