Sam Houston Drive between Leary Lane and Mockingbird Lane will be reduced to one-lane northbound from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday for paving.
The project should be completed during this one day, weather permitting, according to a news release from the city of Victoria.
Traffic traveling southbound on Sam Houston Drive may detour east or west on Mockingbird Lane. Leary Lane will remain open to traffic at the intersection of Sam Houston Drive.
All businesses and parking lots in the construction zone will remain accessible via alternate routes. On-street parking will be prohibited in the work zone.
Also Thursday, the west side of Miori Lane will be closed to traffic at the intersection of Sam Houston Drive to install a waterline.
Anaqua Avenue, Mistletoe Avenue and Mimosa Avenue will remain open to Sam Houston Drive for alternate access into the neighborhood.
The waterline installation is expected to be complete in one day.
Goodwin Street will also be reduced to one-lane westbound only between DeLeon Street and Wheeler Street for the construction of a manhole.
The project that begins Thursday is expected to take about two days.
