Goliad fair goes into full swing Thursday

The Goliad County Fair and Rodeo begins Thursday, and will continue kicking until Sunday.
Here's a brief idea of what you can expect this year.
Carnival begins at 5 p.m. Pre-sale armbands can be purchased with cash at the AgriLife Extension Office, 329 W. Franklin St. for $15. Armbands are $15 at the carnival.
5 p.m.: Carnival continues
6:30 p.m. : The First Cavalry Division Horse Detachment performs at the fairgrounds.
7:30 p.m.: PRCA Rodeo Greased Pig Scramble and the Mutton Bustin' - Youth Calf Bucking
8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.: The Scott Taylor Band performs at Goliad Memorial Auditorium.
10:30 a.m.: Parade downtown
Noon: Washer tournament and live entertainment in barbecue area; carnival continues.
1:30 p.m.: Champion livestock and blue ribbon food auction
6:30 p.m.: The First Cavalry Division Horse Detachment performs at the fairgrounds
7:30 p.m.: PRCA Rodeo Calf Scramble - Mutton Bustin'
9 p.m. to 1 a.m.: Jarrod Birmingham performs at Goliad Memorial Auditorium.
1 p.m.: Carnival continues
2 p.m.: PRCA Rodeo - Family Day - Mutton Bustin'
