One man was taken to the hospital after a fight at Queen City Park about 2:40 p.m. Thursday.
The 41-year-old victim and another man were sitting at a picnic table, when the victim claimed a woman at another picnic table began an argument, said Senior Patrol Officer Daniel Torres, with the Victoria Police Department.
The woman, along with two other men, attempted to leave the location, but returned when the victim allegedly called the woman a derogatory name, Torres said.
The three, all in their 30s and 40s, allegedly returned and assaulted the victim, Torres said.
The victim claimed they used a stick in the assault, but officers were unable to confirm the allegation. Torres said the incident might have been alcohol related.
The victim was taken to Citizens Medical Center with injuries that were not considered life-threatening, Torres said.
No arrests were made, but the case is still under investigation.
