The Parks and Recreation Department is looking for some great people to work at the city pool as lifeguards, pool manager and cashier.

Ten lifeguard positions are available, one pool manager and one cashier. All lifeguards need to be certified by a recognized organization, such as the Red Cross or Boy Scouts.

If you are recently certified as a lifeguard, you will be eligible to receive up to $125 reimbursement for your certification at the end of the summer. All applicants must be 16 years of age and certified as a lifeguard. Interested individuals should submit an application online at and start the process of becoming a lifeguard for the Parks and Recreation Department.

The pool is scheduled to open on Memorial Day weekend. Regular operating hours will begin on June 4. Admission cost will be $1.50 per person. Summer passes are available for $35 per person. Call the Parks Office if you are interested in a Summer Pool Pass.

There are a few pool party dates still available. Parties are on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Cost is $200 for three hours, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Up to 100 people may attend the party without any additional cost. If you are interested in a pool party, please contact the office at the number listed below.
