Best Community Theater: Theatre Victoria

From elaborate musicals like "Peter Pan" to the side-splitting comedy of Neil Simon, Theatre Victoria has been offering something for everyone in the Crossroads since 1972.

The theater has grown from its first days with just a handful of participants to boasting hundreds of volunteers who help produce five annual productions, as well as host artists from around the U.S. in the theater's presenting series.

"We're here for the community, and we really try to produce shows we think the area will like," General Manager Julie Zimmerman said. "We're all volunteerbased, and I think that's what gives us the oomph that we have."

Zimmerman said it's the theater's pleasure to bring entertainment to the Crossroads and to support the arts.
