Best Holiday Event: Victoria Christmas Parade

The Victoria Christmas Parade has been around as long as anyone at the city's Parks and Recreation Department can remember.

The lighted parade draws a huge crowd every year, contributing to it being voted the best holiday event in the Crossroads.

"It's one of the biggest parades we have and definitely the most attended," said Danielle Williams, a recreation specialist with the city.

It's free to enter the parade, and anyone can get into the holiday spirit and put together a float, Williams said.

"It's kind of like a tradition," she said.

While the parade was originally held downtown, its had to relocate to the Community Center on North Street because of construction.

"We hope to be back downtown," Williams said.
