Best Museum: Nave Museum

After 35 years of featuring mostly Texas artists, Crossroads residents have yet to become bored with the Nave Museum.

With exhibits changing every six to eight weeks, it's easy to imagine why.

"People from surrounding communities are coming to visit more, with weekend travelers and people making day-trips," the museum's executive director Morgen Trafton said.

In the last year, the museum has made an extra effort to reach out to the community through events like its now annual art car exhibit and el Dia de los Muertos celebration.

"Maybe that's really paying off, and the community is aware of us now," Trafton said.

"It's bringing new interest to the small groups who usually attend and is really broadening the scope of interest."
