Best Public Servant: Gary Moses

Ask Gary Moses just how many organizations he volunteers his time with and the answer is simple: who knows?

"It's loads of them," he said. "Every week, there are just tons. I go to many, many events every month."

Moses was voted best public servant in the Crossroads.

He said he was honored and humbled by the recognition and enjoys helping whenever he can.

"I've lived in Victoria all my life, and I love the community," he said. "It's been very good to me and I want to give back."

He does that by giving up his time for charitable events, emceeing presentations and taking part in the other odds and ends he's asked to.

And, while his many activities means he might not have much free time to himself, Moses said he isn't worried. By now, he's an old pro.

"I have it pretty down pat," he said with a laugh. "I've been doing it as long as I can remember, so I pretty much know how to balance my time and get everything in that I need to."
