Best Park: Riverside Park

Riverside Park is the most visited park in Victoria due to its size, location and all that it has to offer, offered Doug Cochran, the city's park and recreation director.

There are many hiking and biking trails, a golf course, the Texas Zoo, a challenging 18- hole disc golf course, a beautiful duck pond and a large abundance of flora and fauna to enjoy.

The newest addition to the park is a four-mile paddling trail on the Guadalupe River for kayaking and canoeing enthusiasts.

Riverside Stadium is home to the UHV Jaguar baseball team, the Victoria Generals baseball team and several high school baseball teams.

Riverside Park is the oldest park in the city of Victoria, built in 1939, and there are many memories and stories that are shared with generations of local Victorians.
