The world famous Lipizzaner Stallions will perform at the Victoria Community Center, 2905 E. North St., at 2 and 6 p.m. Sunday.
The equine ballet's 41st Anniversary Tour incorporates all new music, choreography and routines with a major emphasis on the historical background and foundation of the Lipizzaner breed, according to a news release.
The stallion has transformed from its original breeding and use as a horse of war to a horse of nobility and aristocracy to a living form of equestrian art.
The show emulates the Spanish Riding School of Vienna, Austria, in its presentation of Lipizzans, and maintains a traditional as well as entertaining performance.
Also included in the performance is a segment called the "Airs Above the Ground," spectacular leaps and maneuvers, once used by riders in saddle to protect and defend themselves on the battlefield.
Tickets are $22 for adults and $11 for children 12 and under and seniors 60 and older. Tickets are available at Cavenders Boot City, 8206 N. Navarro St. or online at www.tickets.com. To charge tickets by telephone call 800-882-9258.
