A Victoria woman suing Mercedes Benz was referred to an authorized service center elsewhere when she first reported problems, according to a Port Lavaca Chevrolet spokesman. The Chevrolet dealership, which is not part of the lawsuit, is not authorized to do warranty work on Mercedes Benz and did not service the woman's car, he said. A story on Page A1 Thursday incorrectly reported Port Lavaca's relationship to Mercedes Benz.

Golden Crescent Court Appointed Special Advocates will host a Child Abuse Prevention Month Cookie Kick-off at 4 p.m. Friday at the Hiller House, 3003 N. Vine St. The day was reported incorrectly in a story on Page B3 on Thursday.

The mixed race population in Texas as a whole increased since 2000. Incorrect information was included in a story and graphic on Page A1 on March 20.
