I'll be graduating from Victoria College at the end of this semester and I have a big family. How many tickets am I allowed?

Congratulations. What a fantastic accomplishment.

As you probably know, Victoria College's commencement ceremony will be at 11 a.m., May 14. What you may not know is that commencement this year has been relocated to the VISD Fine Arts Center, 1002 Sam Houston Drive.

The new VISD Fine Arts Center can accommodate more than twice as many attendees at the college auditorium and offers plentiful parking, a large stage area and a state-of-the-art sound system. Graduates are no longer required to obtain tickets for their guests. There is no limit to the number of guests a graduate may invite.

Also, due to the increase in accommodations, the entire VC faculty will be in attendance to escort graduates in and out of the auditorium.

Graduation rehearsal will be at 10 a.m. May 13 at the VISD Fine Arts Center. After practice, students are invited back to campus for a luncheon with faculty in the VC Student Center.

Additionally, a professional photographer will be on hand to take photos of students as they receive their diploma.

If you wish to purchase photos, within a week after the ceremony, you'll be able to visit the Korczynski's Photography website at www.korczyn and click on the "View Your Images" option to find a folder with VC's graduation photos. You may place an order directly from the Web site, or you may stop by Korczynski's studio, 3501 N. Navarro St.
