Decora Study Club hosts meeting

The Decora Study Club met April 26 at the Victoria Women's Club House at 10 a.m. President Lillian Alex called the meeting to order. Members reported the Collect for club women, pledge to the American flag and pledge to the Texas flag.
Program leader Doreta Keith introduced Ruth Felty, retired homemaking supervisor of Northside School District, San Antonio. Felty is an accomplished seamstress, quilter and designer of both clothing and quilt patterns. Her program was titled "Stitches of Love." She shared many beautiful jackets, vests and accessories that she has created. These were modeled by members of Decora. This was an outstanding program enjoyed by all.
Officer and committee reports were given. There were 40 members and four guests present. The president reported the district convention held at the Victoria Women's Club House was a success.
Vicki Grimes announced she would be meeting with Tom Butler, president of Victoria College, to further discuss the possibility of senior courses being added at the College. She urged members to participate in every way in order for this to be successful.
