An attempt to leave a Stripes gas station without paying for gas ended with citations for Louise Hernandez and Joshua Sanchez Monday.
Victoria Police Sgt. Mark Jameson said Police Det. Daniel Boots was at the Stripes at 302 N. Navarro St. when he saw Hernandez, 27, drive away without paying for gas.
Boots followed Hernandez in his car and pulled her over at a restaurant in the 500 block of East Rio Grand Street about 1 p.m. Boots issued citations to Hernandez for no driver's license and theft under $50. The passenger in Hernandez's car, 32-year-old Sanchez, was also issued a citation for theft under $50, Jameson said.
