Woman stabbed in neck after argument

A Corpus Christi woman was stabbed in the neck about 9 p.m. Thursday night in the 1000 block of N. De Leon Street, according to Police Lt. Jason Cross. She was transported to DeTar Hospital Navarro, where she was expected to be treated and released.

Adrian Rodriguez, 19, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the incident. He was taken to Citizens Medical Center with minor injuries from the scene, Cross said.

According to Cross, Jamelyn Smith, 23, Rodriguez's estranged girlfriend, was stabbed in the neck after Rodriguez became angry.
