Cuero author PW Covington will have a book signing at the Cuero Municipal Library, 207 E. Main St.

Author PW Covington, a Cuero native, will read from and discuss his book, "Vet to Vet: An Examination of PTSD Through Writing," from 2 to 5 p.m. Nov. 10 at the Cuero Municipal Library.

The book was written with the returned combat veteran, as well as their family members, in mind, according to a news release.

The collection features a series of guided examinations, presented by a combat service-connected disabled vet.

Each section draws from Covington's joint service experience in the military and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder recovery, yet remains respectful of the service and unique challenges of all modern war fighters, according to the news release.

Questions at the end of each module allow the reader to gain personal insight and knowledge through keeping journals and other writing.

Covington is an Air Force veteran, who served in Somalia and Kuwait, among other tours of duty.

Covington's books will be available at a discounted rate to those in attendance and the proceeds split with the Friends of the Cuero Library.

In addition, in honor of the U.S. Marine Corps birthday, there will be a display honoring local Marines past and present and a Marine honor guard will be on hand, according to the news release.

The Cuero Municipal Library is at 207 E. Main St. For more information, call 361-275-2864.
