Sally Aman, Wells Fargo's private banking manager for Victoria, retired Tuesday after a 30-year career.

Tom Stocker will fill her role, managing Wells Fargo's business and private banking units in Victoria.

Aman began her career with Victoria Bank & Trust in 1981 and moved through the ranks over time. She assumed her current role in 1997, when Victoria Bank & Trust merged with Norwest Bank, a Wells Fargo predecessor company.

She serves as president of the Victoria Adult Literacy Council and sits on executive committees for the Victoria County United Way and the Victoria Business and Education Coalition.

She and her husband, Mark Barnes, have three children and a granddaughter.

Aman said she enjoyed her time with Wells Fargo.

"Now that I'm retiring, I hope to be able to devote more time to my family and the community," she said. "I was born and raised in Victoria, I have spent my career here, and I will continue to take an active interest in the future of the city."
