Cool night ahead; red flag warning in Crossroads

Sunny Tuesday with a high near 76. Breezy with a north northwest wind between 24 and 26 mph with gusts as high as 43 mph.

Clear Tuesday night with a low around 46. North northwest wind between 8 and 18 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

The National Weather Service has also issued a red flag warning, in effect from 10 a.m to 9 p.m. Tuesday for strong north winds and critically low relative humidity for all of South Texas.

The NWS advises to avoid the use of open flames or any outdoor activities that may cause sparks leading to wildfires.

Accidental ignitions will have the potential to grow quickly into dangerous wind-driven fires.

Report wildfires quickly to the nearest fire department or law enforcement agency.
