Victoria College will celebrate Halloween with its 17th Annual Halloween Carnival on 5:30-8:30 p.m. Oct. 28 in and around outside the VC Student Center.
The carnival, which is open to the public, is organized by the Student Activities Office, and individual booths are run by various student organizations as fundraisers for their clubs. Organizations include the Latin American Student Organization, Student Nurses Association, VC Club Sports Teams and the VC Film Club.
Families are encouraged to bring their children - and even pets - in costume to participate in the costume contests for various age groups. The contests will be judged by VC President Tom Butler along with faculty and staff. Winners will receive trophies.
The VC Student Government Association provides a haunted house. In addition to the main attraction, carnival attendees will have a wide selection of food, fun and games throughout the evening.
Food booths include cake walk, decorate your own cookie and cotton candy. Fun and games include: film trivia, pumpkin bowling and pie-throwing contests.
Last year, the carnival raised almost $5,000 for student organizations.
