A man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder Tuesday.
Witnesses reported shots were being fired at 12:26 p.m. in the 3300 block of Sam Houston Drive.
Officers pursued one of the men involved, who was driving a blue Buick fleeing west on Mockingbird Lane.
When the vehicle was stopped, the driver was identified as Kalvin Brian Dixon, 23, of Bloomington.
The police officer found a powdery substance in the car, which proved to be cocaine.
While there was no gun in the vehicle, security footage from a building in the 3300 block of Sam Houston Drive showed Dixon shooting at Charles Larkins, according to the police report.
Larkins told police the incident began as a road rage argument because Dixon nearly hit Larkins' vehicle.
Dixon was arrested and charged with felonies: deadly conduct discharge of a firearm, possession of a controlled substance analogue and attempted murder.
Bond has not been set.
