Hospice of South Texas recently recognized employees for their service. Cindy Myers, a registered nurse, has worked for the organization since June 2008. Joe Johnson, the supplies coordinator in the Durable Medical Equipment Department, has been employed since April 2007.

Anna Mennuti has achieved the silver level of service with Senior Helpers. Linda Garrison was recognized as Senior Helpers' October Caregiver of the Month.

Jesus Aros, director of the University of Houston-Victoria Counseling Center, recently was elected to the governing board of the Association of University and College Counseling Center Directors. The association assists directors with management of their centers and promotes awareness of student mental health issues. Aros came to UHV in fall 2010 to help create a counseling center. He also provides counseling services at the UH System at Sugar Land Cinco Ranch, where UHV offers many of its programs.

Thomas Pribyl is the new head athletic trainer at the University of Houston-Victoria. Pribyl assists with the Jaguars athletes in baseball, softball, and men's and women's golf and soccer. He has a master of education from the University of Texas. Before coming to UHV, he worked as a graduate assistant for UT, and then was employed by the Florida Marlins, and for the past 10 years by the Pittsburgh Pirates.
