Victoria College faculty, staff and current students are getting ready to welcome alumni for the VC Alumni Reunion weekend on campus Friday and Saturday.

The weekend's big events include an extensive "Memory Lane" exhibit along with a reunion reception in the VC Student Center.

Alumni guests will get the opportunity to reconnect with former classmates and instructors, while enjoying hors d'oeuvres and dessert bars during Saturday's reception.

Memory Lane will be on display in the VC Student Center where former students can gather to reminisce over hundreds of old photos and yearbooks along with select VC antiques. Reunion guests are encouraged to bring their own VC memorabilia as well.

Many of VC's former football players will also be in attendance bringing some of their own rare VC football memorabilia.

In tribute to former VC football coach "Rusty" Russell, there will also be a spotlight exhibit featuring items borrowed from the Texas Sports Hall of Fame in Waco.

A registration and welcome social in the VC Student Center is scheduled to kick off the weekend's events, followed by a "Students vs. Alumni" volleyball game in the VC Sports Center on Friday. The volleyball game is open to the public and free to VC alumni.

The Museum of the Coastal Bend's "Cattle Boom" exhibit will also welcome VC Alumni Reunion guests throughout the weekend.

Guests will also have the opportunity to catch up on all the newest VC programs, facilities and activities with VC department faculty and administrators.

The VC Alumni Reunion activities are sponsored by the VC Foundation, Chick-fil-A, First Victoria, Wells Fargo and the VCS Companies, along with John and Judy Clegg.
