Callers talk about welfare reform, other topics

Referring to the letter by Betty Stafford in today's paper about welfare reform is needed to stop abuse. I agree with her wholeheartedly. These people just abuse it. They can afford fake nails, hairdos, tattoos, and everything else and then pay with WIC cards or food stamps.
The troubling part of the article "Perry asks to halt execution," is that a person was convicted of murdering two people and injuring a third one. This expert testimony came in the phase of what to do to him. Anybody that kills two people should be put to death. The only trouble is they waited too long.

Concerning 9/11: Again, it has been verified by wonderful reporters that our invasion of Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11.
But isn't it sad that we got into a big fiasco because of a bunch of lies?
Again, Sept. 11 and Iraq had no connection.
I believe that the Golden Sabres Drill Team should be highlighted in the paper.
They are a hard-working group of young girls.
They are very involved in the community and they proudly represent the East High School and the city of Victoria.
