Callers talk about Leonard Pitts column, other topics

Leonard Pitts' column "Reverence for life can still trump a need for death," would be nice except when a person commits a heinous crime they deserve to be put to death because they no longer deserve human rights. If the jury finds them guilty, why do these liberals wait until the last week to try to get them off?

I just want to comment on the disposal wells fight moves to Victoria City Council. They are talking about injecting salt water and stuff like that, but they are not telling you that they are going to dispose of oil-based mud and drilling mud also. The people who are fighting against this move ought to ask questions about that.

In answer to Jefro: Yes, my governor is the one who is letting all of the illegal aliens come across the borders so he can make them citizens so they can vote for him. Hey, does that sound familiar Jefro? Talk about the kettle calling the pot black!

Food Stamps are a big hoot. The elderly get $90 a month for two people and watch people with lots of children fill basket upon basket with food. More babies equal more food and WIC milk, cheese and cereal. And old people and nutrition is a very big joke. We get $800 a month from Social Security, which is a big joke. You need to wake up and quit rewarding the young folks.

Calling about high school reunions: I went to my 50th high school reunion in 1988. It was a blast, and I would recommend going. About 25 of us got together.
