A pickup was left fully submerged in Spring Creek after an early Tuesday morning collision.
Emergency crews closed a portion of Briggs Road as they worked to locate the white Chevrolet pickup in the water.
About 5:30 a.m, emergency crews learned two people had escaped the pickup after it became submerged in the creek.
A preliminary investigation revealed the truck was traveling east in the 500 block of Briggs Road when it hit the bridge guardrail, went down the embankment and landed in the water, said Victoria Police Department Sgt. Eline Moya.
Dallas Curlee, 27, and Christine Kellie Dunn, 31, both of Victoria, escaped unharmed.
Allan's Wrecker Service removed the truck from the creek.
They walked to Citizens HealthPlex, 9406 NE Zac Lentz Parkway, where they waited for emergency help to arrive.
Members of the Victoria fire and police departments searched both the truck and the water for any additional occupants, but it was determined no one else was in the truck.
As of Tuesday evening, it was not known who was driving the truck or whether speed was a factor in the wreck.
Neither person was intoxicated, said Moya.
Curlee was questioned and released.
Dunn was arrested on a warrant charging her with violation of probation in an unlawful possession of a controlled substance, according to an arrest report.
