A young girl was injured in a two-vehicle wreck about 3:40 p.m. Thursday.

Nancy Williams, 24, of Victoria, was driving north on Ben Jordan Street in a white Dodge Caliber when she attempted to make a left turn onto Red River Street, said Senior Patrol Officer Zac De La Rosa.

Williams' vehicle struck a silver Chevrolet Impala going south on Ben Jordan Street and driven by Emma Pina, 39, of Victoria, De La Rosa said.

Williams and her passengers, a 4-year-old boy and a 2-year-old girl, were uninjured.

Pina and two of her passengers, a 13-year-old and a 10-year-old girl were uninjured as well, but an 8-year-old girl was transported to Citizens Medical Center with injuries.

Because both north and southbound traffic had solid green lights, Williams was cited for failure to yield the right-of-way, De La Rosa said.
