A Liberty Academy student was taken to the hospital Monday afternoon after she was struck in the face with a softball.
The student was at softball practice in the field house at Liberty Academy when she was hit in the nose with a ball.
Softball Coach Lee Price said she was not seriously injured and never lost consciousness after being hit. Price, who declined to identify the student, said she was transported to Citizens Medical Center as a precaution.
The Victoria Fire Department and Victoria Emergency Medical Services responded to the call.
