Laureate Alpha Omicron Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi met April 17 at the home of Frances Smith, incoming president, with Loretta Johnson presiding. A lasagna supper was served by Smith and co-hostess Joyce Parker.

Committee reports were given and Parliamentarian Louise Pletcher read from the book of Beta Sigma Phi on the duties of the executive board.

Upcoming events include: April 25, luncheon and style show sponsored by Xi Psi Tau; April 26, Founder's Day at Golden Corral; and May 12, End of the Year Couple's Party at the home of Susana Moya.

Committee sign-up sheets were collected by Smith. The new executive board will be installed at the May 1 meeting at the Pletcher home.

Smith, owner of Initially Yours, gave the program on "How to Make a Garment." She demonstrated the step-by-step procedure to make an adult bib, including cutting, pinning of patterns, pressing and decorating. She stated that at her shop they have an assembly line of sorts. Examples of the finished products were circulated. The bibs are very popular with senior citizens and nursing home residents.

Members repeated the closing ritual and joined hands for the Mizpah.
