Cuero Police spent nearly 10 hours Monday searching for Moses Galindo Sr., 50, who fled from police when they attempted to serve a warrant about 12:30 p.m. Monday afternoon.

"He saw us coming and hit the bushes," said Cuero Police Chief Jay Lewis.

Tracking dogs from Texas Department of Criminal Justice units in Cuero, Beeville and Kenedy were used to track Galindo, who evaded law enforcement until the search was called off about 10 p.m.

Cuero Police were attempting to serve a warrant for a parole violation. Galindo is also sought for felony evading, Lewis said.

"We didn't actively look for him Tuesday," said the police chief.
