The MuZOOum Trot Camp will take place Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at the Museum of the Coastal Bend, The Texas Zoo and The Nave Museum, respectively.

"The kids will benefit because they will be immersed in Texas history, while getting exposed to three attractions in Victoria," said Amanda Rocha, the Texas Zoo's executive director.

Children in fourth- through sixth-grades may attend. The cost is $75 for members at any of the three organizations and $90 for non-members.

The first day consists of participants learning about cowboys and Native Americans. They will also be able to make their own brand.

On the second day, students will learn about Texas habitats and native animals at the Texas Zoo. Learn why cows and horses are best suited for ranching.

Students will do a life drawing with Rocket the Horse at the Nave. Each camper will create a section of Rocket in three original artworks, which will be pieced together to create three versions of Rocket. The work will be exhibited at all three venues.

"The community should support this camp because it is encouraging youth to be more knowledgeable in the state they live in," said Rocha.
