The Department of Public Safety seized about 100 pounds of marijuana in Victoria County on U.S. Highway 59 on Saturday morning.

Trooper T. Arriaga, who is based in the Victoria office, stopped Susana L. Cabello, 59, of Weslaco, because she failed to signal a lane change.

Cabelo, who was traveling alone, gave Arriaga consent to search the vehicle. He later found the suspected drugs inside each of the four tires, according to a DPS communications officer.

Arriaga arrested the woman on suspicion of possession. She was taken to the Victoria County Jail and as of 8 p.m. Saturday, Cabello was still in custody.
