Two Step Dance Hall & Lounge will host the Two Steps to Bootfest concert series Friday, featuring Clay Crockett and the Shotgun Riders. The Scott Taylor Band will be next in line on Sept. 14.

Tickets for each show cost $6 at the door.

"It's a way to bring good country music that you can dance to," said Scott Taylor.

His performance at the dance hall will also serve as a preview to the upcoming Bootfest, scheduled Oct. 5-6. Taylor will be the Friday night headliner on the Shiner Stage.

"We wanted to start building local excitement and buzz for Bootfest earlier this year to help spread the word about this great weekend of activities," LaRue Roth, director of the Convention and Visitors Bureau, said in a news release.

Other attractions for the second annual festival at the DeLeon Plaza will include free concerts by No Justice, Stoney LaRue, Black Dutch Sioux, Bart Crow and Easton Corbin, as well as boot artisans, a kid's corral and a washer tournament.

Taylor said he plans to play fan favorites and bring an element of surprise. "We're going to have a lot of music for everybody," he said.
