The final person in the one-vehicle wreck in Goliad that killed 15 and injured eight illegal immigrants has been identified, officials said Thursday.

Department of Public Safety Trooper Jonathan Christian confirmed the identity of Juana Tiniguar-Aguilar, 17, of Guatemala. She died at the scene of the July 22 wreck on U.S. Highway 59 about three miles north of Berclair.

The group of 23 passengers was being smuggled into the United States in a 2000 Ford F-250 when the vehicle's front right tire de-treaded and the vehicle struck a tree.

A funeral service for Tiniguar-Aguilar will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 238 N. Commercial St., in Goliad. Her body will be shipped to family in Guatemala following the service.

A memorial will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the church for the 15 who died in the wreck.
