Student receives highest Boy Scout honor

Quinn Bauer, of Lewisville, will be presented with Scouting's highest honor, the Eagle Scout award on Sept. 9. He is a member of Boy Scout Troop 162, chartered by First Methodist Church of Lewisville. Quinn earned 40 merit badges, served as a leader in his troop, and planned, developed and completed a community service project, where he planted four oak trees for the city of Lewisville between the recreation center and the library. Quinn is the son of David and Lori Bauer, of Lewisville, and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Sloan, of Victoria, and Mrs. Marjorie Bauer of Burlington, Iowa.
