Incorporating summer pieces into your fall wardrobe.

You've mastered your summer wardrobe with all of the bright colors, patterns and especially floral pieces. How do you make a backless dress work this fall? How do you work the bright colors into a jewel tone trend this fall? Let's work your summer pieces into fall.

The summer floral dress you picked out has a hemline above the knee and a cute little cutout in the back. What do you do to work this piece into fall as it cools down? Well, here in Texas, it doesn't necessarily cool down much at all so the denim jacket you have in your closet - and if you don't, this piece is fairly easy to find - throw the jacket over your floral dress. Cuff the sleeves if it's still too hot and pair it with a closed toed shoe or booties.

The pattern of your dress will determine what color of denim to get - pay attention to the colors in the patterns of your summer dress to purchase either a light or dark denim jacket. During the cool months, opt for a thick pair of pantyhose - in a solid black with black booties to re-work the look.

As for all of the bright colors you purchased this summer - brights are still in for the fall, but in darker jewel tones. You can still incorporate cobalt blue, like designer Billy Reid's runway look or fuschia and maroon tones as seen on the runway Nina Ricci's fall 2012 line.

Opt to add in select jackets, tights and tones that fit the fall look when re-working your wardrobe for fall.
