I have known David Brown since he moved to Victoria. He is not now, nor has he ever been a racist. He has guided Citizens Medical Center to be the finest hospital in the area - increasing its size, adding the latest technology, offering quality services to Victoria and the surrounding area. He is a good man who has worked hard to support his community and the hospital employees and to be a good steward of the county's finances. His business acumen has kept Citizens in the black and has not cost the county taxpayers in doing so.
There has always be a certain competition between the two hospitals in Victoria. Various doctors have switched their loyalty back and forth between the hospitals. Playing the race card is unfair. Many doctors of several ethnic backgrounds work harmoniously at both hospitals.
When certain doctors want to control how health care is administered by changing the rules to suit themselves, then they should negotiate with the hospital administration, the board, the county judge, etc. When they don't get their way, crying racist is a way to elicit emotional sympathy without having to present facts.
