A 28-year-old Katy man was arrested Monday on multiple charges of indecency with a child after two children, ages 8 and 10, reported the crimes to their father, said Victoria County District Attorney Stephen Tyler.

Enoch Santo Rivera, formerly of Victoria County, was indicted Nov. 29 on four counts of indecency with a child, two counts of injury to a child, possession of child pornography and indecency with a child exposes, according to the arrest report.

Rivera was dating the children's mother, who was also indicted Nov. 29 on two counts of endangering a child/criminal negligence, two counts of injury to a child with intent to cause bodily injury and possession of child pornography, Tyler said.

The Advocate is withholding the name of the mother to protect the identity of the children.

The children's father reported the crimes to police, Tyler said, and Rivera moved to Katy after the Victoria Police Department started the investigation.

Lt. Mike Hernandez, of the Victoria Police Department, said the case was reported in July.

Rivera is being held at the Victoria County Jail in lieu of a $70,000 bond. The mother is being held at the jail in lieu of a $30,000 bond.
