IIf you thought sitting through a three-and-a-half hour movie was difficult, try doing it three times - back-to-back.
"The Lord of the Rings" trilogy - "The Fellowship of the Ring," "The Two Towers" and "The Return of the King," - will be screened in extended versions at Cinemark 12 Victoria on Saturday and Sunday.
Tickets are $30 for XD, Extreme Digital, presentation and $25 for non-XD viewing.
And to help you get through hours of Lord of the Rings story, Cinemark is also doing $1 refills on the purchase of a large fountain or frozen drink. Refills on large popcorns are for the free first refill and $1 after that.
If you're even bigger on popcorn, the popcorn tub refill is $2, while hot dogs are $2 and Dibs Ice Cream is $2.
Arriving early for the big show may also get you a commemorative lanyard.
The trilogy showing is in preparation for the last installment of the series, "The Hobbit," which premieres Dec. 14.
And what better way to put you in the mood than a special introduction to the showing by Peter Jackson?
So, if you're in the mood to grab yourself a bucket of popcorn, or perhaps two or even three, and sit down to watch a true fantasy series, you should make the time.
Really, block off an entire day.
