FRIDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL: Rounding up Friday's action

Dec. 7, 2012 at 6:07 a.m.

Friday has come and gone, and it certainly was a shocker of a night. The Crossroads crowned a champion in Shiner St. Paul, which won its second title in three years, while El Campo overcame favored Carthage to earn a date with Stephenville in the Class 3A, Division I title game next week in Arlington.

On top of that, Shiner earned a measure of revenge by beating Mason. And the shocker of the night, Ty Slanina and East Bernard pulled off a stunning upset rout of Refugio.

Scroll down to see Friday's scores, with links to stats, stories, pairing for next round and more.

We also hope you'll add your own photos and comments. Send your photos to, or upload your photos directly from your desktop. We provide the stories, scores and stats -- you provide the spirit.
