Victoria man charged with online solicitation of a minor

A Victoria man was arrested Friday morning on a charge of online solicitation of a minor.
Jeremy Chapa, 33, was arrested at 9:30 a.m. by police in the 100 block of Esquire Place. Chapa was on his way to meet a 15-year-old for a sexual encounter, officials said in a news release.
Online solicitation of a minor is a second degree felony, which is punishable by up to 20 years in prison with a $10,000 fine, according to the Texas Penal Code.
