Everyone has new hopes for a better self in the new year. The bar is raised to accomplish New Year's resolutions and endeavors. When the clock counts down, be dressed to the nines to introduce yourself to a new number, a new year and a new you. Standing out on New Year's Eve is just one task to pursue. Take the bar to a new height this year while pulling off the look of now.
Encompassing hopes for a new year, everyone is dressed to the nines to greet the future in style.
Most are not able to find a new dress in time for the big night or able to afford a new dress after the holidays. Introduce your wardrobe to new accessories, fascinators, hats, shoes and a nod to embellishing an old dress in broaches to change the look completely.
As seen on the runway, top hats are not only to be worn by men. Ralph Lauren introduced the top hat in his fall collection, pairing it with a leopard pattern. In his spring 2013 collection, he chose hats for women yet again, only this time completely resetting the look with a beret and various hats.
Dress up an old evening or cocktail dress with a top hat to stand out in the crowd. Pay attention to the texture and color of the hat as it can also throw off the look. Stick to black or a basic color to keep the look classic and clean.
Hats off to 2013 could be a cue to wardrobe. If you're wearing a strapless or an off the shoulder dress, complete your New Year's Eve look with big earrings that complement the colors and textures of your top hat. Another option would be a fascinator or headband to wear with evening or cocktail apparel.
Enjoy the new year in style and use these fashion tips to approach the unexpected for a stylish touch to your existing wardrobe. Drop the ball on a fabulous new look that'll make for a stylish New Year's Eve night!
