Yes, we got what we wanted for Christmas: a 2013 four-door truck. Santa had a hard time fitting it into his sleigh.

We live in neighborhoods that are adjacent to the railroad tracks because of not having the wealth to live far away in beautiful brick home neighborhoods. We always understood the safety issue. But behind the Dairy Queen on the Port Lavaca Highway, I observed the over-zealous train engineer grin at all who cared to see his face as he deliberately blasted away while we covered our ears in horror. Never before had I witnessed this type of behavior in southeast Victoria.
This is to the person who gave me the H-E-B gift card Sunday morning at the checkout counter. You just don't know how much this old 90-year-old WWII veteran appreciated that. Thank you very much, and I hope you have a happy new year and a prosperous one. God bless you.
