Law enforcement is cracking down on unpaid parking tickets and traffic fines in Victoria and Port Lavaca.
The municipal courts and the police departments in Victoria and Port Lavaca are participating in this year's Great Texas Warrant Roundup.
The police departments and more than 260 Texas law enforcement agencies will round up and arrest people with outstanding arrest warrants at their homes, places of employment or anywhere else they are found from Feb. 25 to March 4.
To avoid the embarrassment and additional expense of being publicly arrested and taken to jail, anyone with a warrant for their arrest can go to the Victoria Municipal Court to pay fines and tickets from 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. before March 4.
Municipal court clerks will also be available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 25 and March 3 to take payments for fines.
To see if there is a warrant for your arrest, you can reference the warrant list titled "Are you going to jail?" online at the city website: victoriatx.org/court/index.asp.
Warrants can also be checked at the municipal court, 107 W Juan Linn St. or call them at 361-485-3050.
